For more than a century, the Old Virgilians Association (OVA) has been shaped by the dedication and generosity of its members. Through leadership, service, and community spirit, these individuals have strengthened the bonds that unite all Old Virgilians.
This page honours those whose outstanding commitment has been recognised through Life Membership or the presentation of Civic and Service Awards.
Life Membership is the highest honour the Association can bestow. It recognises individuals who have rendered exceptional and sustained service to the OVA and the broader St Virgil’s College community.
Life Members embody the values of faith, fellowship, and service — the very principles upon which the Association was founded in 1917. Their contribution ensures the continuity of the Old Virgilian tradition for generations to come.
“Life Membership is not only a recognition of years served, but of a life lived in the spirit of the Old Virgilians.”
The OVA also proudly acknowledges Old Virgilians whose achievements and service extend beyond the College community. The Civic and Service Awards celebrate alumni who have made distinguished contributions in fields such as:
• Education and leadership
• Public and community service
• Professional achievement
• Faith-based and charitable work
• Arts, culture, and sport
These awards reflect the College’s enduring influence and the Old Virgilians’ commitment to making a difference in society.
We welcome nominations for both Life Membership and Civic Awards.
If you know an Old Virgilian who exemplifies the ideals of faith, service, and fellowship, please contact the Association.
