The Committee of the Old Virgilian Association serves as the governing body responsible for the strategic direction, stewardship, and representation of the Association.
Its members, drawn from the alumni community, are committed to upholding the values and traditions associated with the Virgilian name.
The Committee oversees the planning and delivery of reunions, the management of Association affairs, the preservation of historical records, and the maintenance of communication with members. Regular meetings ensure that activities are conducted with transparency, diligence, and in accordance with the Association’s long-established objectives.
Each Committee member contributes voluntarily, bringing experience, continuity, and a shared commitment to strengthening the ties between former students and the wider school community.
Their work ensures that the Association remains an active, well-organised, and enduring institution.
The Old Virgilian Association was established to preserve the bonds formed during members’ school years and to safeguard the heritage of the Virgilian tradition. What began as informal gatherings of past pupils gradually developed into a formally constituted organisation dedicated to fellowship, historical preservation, and support for the school community.
Over the decades, the Association has expanded its scope, introducing regular publications, archival initiatives, charitable endeavours, and closer collaboration with the school. It has continually adapted to meet the needs of successive generations while maintaining a steadfast commitment to its original purpose: to foster unity among former students and honour the legacy they share.
