Last December Tristan Thomas (svc 1999-2022) was inducted into the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame. 

Last December Tristan Thomas (svc 1999-2022) was inducted into the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame.  Tristan was an outstanding schoolboy athlete and St Virgil’s won both carnivals in each of the years he attended the College. As a 400m runner and hurdler,  Tristan represented Australia on several occasions with the highlight his being part of the bronze medal winning 4 x 400m relay team at world athletics championships in Berlin in 2009 – the same year that he was named Tasmanian Male Sportsperson of the Year.
